On 22 April AfNWA held its first training for the Network. It was about writing curriculum vitae. The event was oversubscribed and it was decided to run a second one at a later date. The training focused on practical advice for ones own CV, and for applying for jobs, in academia as well as in Industry.
The workshop was attended by 15 participants who got a certificate of attendance.
This marks the beginning of AfNWA’s training and capacity building efforts, one of the main reasons for the existence of AfNWA. Indeed, we wish to strengthen out membership’s ability to have successful careers in Astronomy and Space Science, and in related industries.
The workshop was moderated by Dr. Priscilla Muheki and given by Prof. Carolina Odman.
